　　Based on the rich collection of the Palace Museum and long-term academic research, this exhibition takes the pedestal of the numerous furnishings of the Qing Palace as the object, displaying 132 representative collections, covering various categories of the court pedestal, showing its diversified design and usage。The audience can fully understand the skills of the ancient artisans, appreciate the beauty of court art at close range, and feel the wonderful interest of the ancient master's creation and the perfection of the objects。

　　In the history of Chinese traditional arts and crafts, the holder is one of the commonly used objects that are connected with and separated from the furnishings, which has special aesthetic significance and research value。The seat culture of the Qing Palace originated from the construction of the study space and its furnishings taste after the rise of the literati and doctors, which not only reflected the aesthetic taste and technical level of the palace crafts in the Qing Dynasty to some extent, but also reflected the concept of palace furnishings。The Palace Museum has a large number of artefacts, exquisite materials, exquisite decoration, exquisite design and exquisite craftsmanship, some of which carry information such as description, rank and title, reflecting the extremely high artistic and historical value。At the academic level，Experts from the Palace Museum combine objects from the collection with historical records，Wraparound seat，This paper discusses the design and manufacture of palace utensil holder in Qing Dynasty，And the connection between the holder and the utensil and the display environment，And how does this connection affect the holder design，And reveal the cultural connotation behind it，This helps the audience to understand the Qing Palace culture more deeply through the exhibition。

　　According to its rich material types, the collections presented in the Palace Museum exhibition are divided into six major categories: metal, tooth, jade, lacquer, wood and other materials。The "metal pedestal" includes accessories for religious, cultural, dietary and furnishing objects, and the main materials are gold, silver, copper and lead。Its production and decoration are combined with casting, hammer 揲, enamel, jade, chisel, gilding and other techniques, showing the characteristics of regular shape and beautiful decoration。"Tooth holder" is a kind of typical product in the tooth carving of Ming and Qing dynasties in China。This exhibition is divided into two types of tooth base and dyed tooth base, its carving, relief, round carving, shallow carving and other techniques are extremely exquisite。"Jade Seat" is mostly jasper and dark blue jade seat, mostly decorated with round carving, relief and carving techniques, whether antique, time are particularly exquisite。"Lacquer block" is rich in categories, including red paint, black paint, yellow paint and gold paint, and sets a variety of decoration techniques such as carved paint, filling paint, tracing gold, painting, motherlay, and inlaying treasures。"Wood seat" material to yellow pear, rosewood, mahogany, chicken wing wood, nanmu, etc., although in the process of production is classified as small ware, it is a small and fine microcosm of the palace craft。Other materials of the pedestal mainly include ceramic pedestal, agate pedestal, crystal pedestal, brocade pedestal, glass pedestal, etc., showing the diversification of the raw materials of the pedestal。The shape and size of all kinds of pedestals are varied, and the shape is regular and the lines are simple round, square and polygon, and the decoration techniques such as Mosaic, painting or gilding are used flexibly。

The two sides hope that through the exhibition, visitors can think more deeply and carefully about traditional Chinese crafts and aesthetic aspects。At the same time, the exhibition is also an important part of the "East of the Forbidden City - Art and Art Season" of Beijing Dongcheng District Culture and Tourism Bureau。
